6-word memoir

In Editorial on February 17, 2010 at 9:15 pm

Everyone has a story. Can you tell yours in six words? Submit yours to be considered for SMITH’s next six-word memoir book. The first book, Not Quite What I Was Planning, is a NYT bestseller featuring more than 800 writers, famous and obscure. If you want to submit your own, go to Smith Magazine’s site.

Somehow, I resonated with this one (minus the ‘editorial’ part)…

Gloria Steinem‘s 6 word memoir: “Life is one big editorial meeting.”)

Note: I posted this because it was a social mechanism that PLD had tossed around awhile ago. It was a fun idea but ….

What, I think, made it successful for Smith was that they took it from the celebrity angle.
